A Weekend to Reconnect with your Artistic Voice
In 2022, I decided to host a solo art retreat for myself, and it turned out to be one of the best things I have ever done.
Now, I invite you to join me for one. We’ll spend the weekend immersed in playful, inspiring, workshops designed to help you explore new techniques, spark fresh ideas, and try things you may never have attempted before! All thoughtfully planned for you.
This retreat is perfect for you if…
You feel an inkling to pivot, grow, or try something new but haven’t found yourself experimenting
You’re curious about collage as a tool, even if it’s not your main medium
Have you ever thought, “why don’t adults get to go to summer camp?!?”
You’re looking for new ways to think about your art, not just new techniques
You want to attend an art retreat but can’t commit for a full week
You enjoy learning in a supportive, guided environment
You’re open to experimenting and stepping slightly outside your comfort zone
Schedule
DAY 1: Experiment & Reflect
This first day is all about trying new things and reflection.
3 HOUR SESSION
Introduction / Writing Session
Quick round of introductions, general overview of program
In the writing session, you will be guided by questions to help you explore new concepts while also reflecting back on where you are in your artistic journey
Quick group discussion of what surprised you
Creative Workshop
Using your collage kit that will be sent to you, we will be diving into 2 projects on this day designed to build new “neural pathways”, or new ways of thinking to help get you out of old routines.
The theme of this day is “circles”. We will use the same object in different ways, pushing ourselves to commit to finishing artworks.
Show & Tell / Reflection
This is the best part of the day! You’ll get to see all the work your fellow cohort has created and hear what others have planned for their second half of the day.
-
3 HOUR SESSION ENDS, PARTICIPANTS PLAN IN ADVANCE TO DO AN ACTIVITY THEY WANT TO TRY OR RECONNECT TO
DAY 2: Learn & Reconnect
This first day is all about finding ways to include these new methods into your old practice. By taking a step back from what we usually do, we can then try to stitch these new techniques into the process.
3 HOUR SESSION
Introduction / Writing Session
We’ll play a quick creative game to get us warmed up
In this writing session, we will reflect on yesterday as a whole and be prompted to explore our likes and dislikes of other techniques and styles of collage
Quick group discussion on what you are discovering
Creative Workshop
You’ll be introduced to 3 artists. We’ll be picking one you think is the farthest from your style and trying to experiment with their techniques.
Show & Tell / Reflection
Again, we will show off our work from the day.
Conclusion
-
3 HOUR SESSION ENDS, PARTICIPANTS WILL GO TO SEE ART. (Virtual options available for those in extremely remote places)
What attendees are saying…
“My breakthroughs were plentiful - comparing my re-entry to a creative life with slowly and tentatively going into the river, then taking the plunge, drowning out the noise and looking to the sky. I also refocused on a project I need to address and complete. I so loved the weekend and retreat!”

Highly recommend Leah's art retreat! So refreshing and inspiring. Leah is a great instructor and provided unique writing and collage projects that allowed us to explore new avenues in our art. So uplifting and we left with a renewed sense of self and of purpose in creating. I can't wait to do it again! :)

Sign Up for an Art Retreat
A guided creative weekend designed for artists, makers, and curious creatives who want intentional time to make art again.
This isn’t just an online workshop.
It’s a full retreat experience — from the comfort of your home, your favorite café, a rented cabin, or wherever creativity finds you this summer.
Over the course of the weekend, we’ll create together through live sessions, prompts, workshops, and community moments designed to help you reconnect with your artistic practice in a way that feels inspiring, relaxed, and deeply motivating.
Think summer camp for adults… but slower, cozier, and centered around creativity.
What You’ll Experience
Live creative workshops and guided sessions
A thoughtfully planned weekend schedule
Creative prompts and exercises
Community time with fellow artists
Space for reflection, experimentation, and play
Guidance for designing your own retreat experience outside of sessions
Optional retreat preparation resources before the weekend begins
A Retreat Designed With Flexibility
I’ve planned the workshops, structure, and creative programming for you — while also leaving room for you to shape parts of the weekend into your own meaningful retreat experience.
You might spend your afternoons exploring a museum, journaling in a café, taking a nature walk, creating late into the evening, or simply resting between sessions.
The goal isn’t to fill every second.
It’s to create intentional space for creativity to return.
Want To Join With A Friend?
Looking for the perfect opportunity to spend some time with a friend? You’re welcome to attend the retreat alongside a friend, and we offer discounted partner registration if you sign up together. Spend the weekend creating side-by-side from the same space (individuals pay $180, you’ll pay $150 each)!
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be an experienced artist? Or collage artist?
Not at all. This retreat is designed for all skill levels. Collage is often used as a tool for other art forms, I encourage you to join if it is not your primary medium.
Do I need to attend from home?
No — you can join from anywhere. Many participants choose to turn the weekend into their own personal getaway experience.
What supplies will I need?
A collage kit will be mailed to you upon sign up including vintage magazine papers. All else will be on you to decide on what tools you bring into your practice. At a minimum I recommend a sketchbook, glue stick and scissors. A journal is also a great idea for the writing reflections.
Bring a friend
You’re welcome to join this retreat on your own or share the experience with a friend. If you’ve been looking for a reason to spend time creating together, this is a great way to do it.
If you sign up as a group, you’ll join the retreat from the same space and work side by side throughout the sessions. Your collage kits will be sent to one address for you both to use.

This art retreat is 2 sessions (Saturday & Sunday), both 3 hours long.
It is encouraged to spend the other parts of these days immersed in the retreat. Think about scheduling time after or before the sessions to visit art galleries, plan a fun activity, and take yourself on a long walk.
Teaching Testimonials

I highly recommend the 6 week online collage course. Leah is a knowledgeable and generous teacher. She created a fun and supportive community among the student participants and I created some really interesting work during the 6 weeks. I'm very much recharged and inspired, and looking forward to attending more courses in the future!

I’ve done two of these workshops and they were both so fun and well organized! Everyone is able to make their own work of art, the mini art show at the end is amazing to look through and see all of the unique pieces people have made. Will definitely be coming back!

I had a very enjoyable time meeting new people as we all worked together making our own Collage. It was informative, educational and interesting mix of people. I would do this again for sure!

This class was really inspiring and Leah was a great instructor. I was sad when the class ended. Leah taught in a way in which we all felt valued and seen as artists. I learned lots of new techniques and was introduced to a lot of new collage artists' works and styles. The projects inspired me to try new styles and create collages out of my comfort zone. I highly recommend this course!
