Lesson Structure for the 6 classes

    Lecture & Learn

    Each class will start with a thorough lecture on pre-selected topics including art history, techniques, and in some classes a project will be selected to help further your learnings.

  • People sitting at tables in a coffee shop, reading newspapers and magazines, with art on the walls and a large window letting in natural light.

    Create & Socialize

    You will then be divided into breakout rooms to chat with smaller groups to create and socialize. Or you can mute the video if you want silence to concentrate.

    You will be able to ask questions along the way and get support at every step.

    Critique & Coaching

    Once pieces are ready to glue, we will all be able to comment on the artworks and push each other to try new things, how to fix issues we are having in our practice, and get feedback about our work.

    This is also a time for you to learn from one another, talk about any struggles you are having, and get your questions answered.

    Complete your work during class

    Busy schedule? No problem. Each 3-hour session is designed so you can finish your work in class, no homework required. Just show up and stay present in that time. Can’t make it? Every session is recorded and shared with you.

    Guided help to push your practice

    Get guided prompts and exercises designed to help you move past creative blocks and see your work in a new way. Through assignments and feedback, students will push themselves in ways they would not do outside of this class.

    From Craft to Fine Art

    This hands-on class goes beyond collage and will shift your perspective of the art world. You’ll learn the foundations of fine art and apply them to your own work (and other works in the lectures), gaining both a refined creative practice and a deeper, more confident understanding of the art world as a whole.
